Your personal Airbnb consultant
With the experience, know-how and numbers to back it up.
My name is Mark Mills and I am an Airbnb consultant with a proven system and custom-tailored approach. After personally benefiting from the results of my methodology consistently over the years, I am excited to teach you the strategies and best practices of what actually works in the real world of Airbnb.
Before Airbnb existed
My experience in the vacation rental industry began in 2006, two years before Airbnb entered the marketplace. In those days, while I wasn’t using a convenient and effective platform like Airbnb, I was building my property portfolio and renting to clients. At its core, my service was the same as what Airbnb offers its owners and renters today.
Sales and knowledge
In the last five years alone, I’ve lived in 10 different cities around the world, hosted over 3,000 guests, and grown my Airbnb portfolio to sales of over $500,000 USD per year and more than $2 million in total.
15 years ago, I was a chef in Melbourne, Australia. Once I acknowledged that this career wasn’t the perfect fit, I embarked on what would later become a love for travel and relocated to Taiwan where I taught English to young children for three years.
In 2006, I moved from the rice fields in the middle of Taiwan to beautiful Patagonia to start my very first vacation rental business in Bariloche. The company was called ApartmentsBariloche.com and within two years I had over 100 properties listed on my website. While I received a commission on each rental, it wasn’t enough and I wanted a greater success story for myself. In 2008, I decided to take a step in a slightly different direction and set up my very first sublet in Bariloche. This was a decision that would change my life forever.
I paid $600 USD in rent per month to the owner, spent $20,000 USD to furnish the unit as a high-end luxury rental, and instantly the property began to bring in $3,000 USD per month! Over the next 5 years, I set up several more sublets in Bariloche and sold the business in 2014.
What you may not know is that from 2005 to 2014, there was a company called HomeAway, which was the undoubted leader in the online vacation rental industry – until Airbnb began to blow them away in 2014. In the same year, I created my own Airbnb account and started my new global sublet business. I took my Airbnb account from $63,000 USD in sales in 2014 up to $611,000 USD in 2017, less than three years later. Truth be told, today you ONLY need to list your properties on Airbnb to keep them fully booked.
I speak English and Spanish and love traveling the globe. In my lifetime (so far), I’ve visited over 50 countries – and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
The continual growth of my property portfolio will always be a focus of mine because I truly love what I do. But I’m also ready to share my knowledge and success path with others who have a strong interest in the vacation rental industry. I want to help you channel your passions and realize true financial freedom in an exciting and dynamic sector.
